I fell in love with Lauren's sound by listening to "Give Up the Ghost", the story of being involved with someone who just can't seem to let go of that ex and feeling haunted by her whilst in said involvement. Grit and some rock mixed into this country song and I would definitely consider it to be a power ballad.
Next up is "No Saint"...we've all been there: involved with someone who appears to have become a better person for us but we just can't seem to forgive them for the damage they've done, not only to the relationship but to us, personally. I love this new single of Lauren's because, here again, nothing hits home like an artist that seems to have written something so raw, and straight out our own diaries/journals/post-it notes/etc.
