The Lee County Literacy Coalition is gearing up for the 16th annual Great Grown-Up Spelling Bee on August 15th at the Auburn Alumni Center. This event raises funds and awareness for our important mission. Because of champions like you, last year’s event raised nearly $9,000.
Funding will assist with developing new programs, expanding and improving existing programs and training new tutor volunteers to help adult learners to read and write at a level necessary to succeed and thrive in society.
One in 4 Alabamians is functionally illiterate. We need your help to make adult literacy an integral part of social change. Programs offered provide vehicles to improve the lives of the learners we serve and strengthen the community-at-large.
Join us for an evening that promises lots of fun for a great cause. Consider sponsoring a team; promoting your business with a program advertisement or door prize; or simply coming out and enjoying the festivities. With your commitment, we will continue to change the lives of our fellow residents.
