SEC schedule announced for Auburn women’s basketball

AUBURN, Ala. – Five Sunday home games, home-and-home series with Alabama and Mississippi State, and a senior day visit from Tennessee highlight the 2019-20 Auburn women’s basketball SEC schedule, which was released by the conference office Wednesday morning.

The Tigers will welcome Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Vanderbilt to Auburn Arena as part of the 16-game league schedule that begins the first week of January. Five of those opponents – Arkansas, Alabama, Vanderbilt, LSU and Tennessee – will visit the Plains on a Sunday afternoon.

League play begins with a trip to Vanderbilt on Thursday, Jan. 2. Three straight home games will follow as Auburn welcomes Arkansas (Jan. 5), Florida (Jan. 9) and Alabama (Jan. 12) to Auburn Arena. The Tigers will close out January with three out of four games on the road with a home game against Ole Miss (Jan. 23) in between road trips to Georgia, Kentucky and Mississippi State.

February begins with a visit from Vanderbilt (Feb. 2) before back-to-back trips to Alabama and South Carolina. LSU and Mississippi State travel to Auburn on Feb. 16 and 20, respectively, before a final road swing to the league’s western outposts of Texas A&M and Missouri. The regular season wraps up Sunday, March 1, at home against Tennessee. Five of Auburn’s final six contests are against NCAA Tournament participants from last season.

Game times, promotions and broadcast information will be announced in the coming weeks.

Auburn previously announced its non-conference schedule, which includes five home games in November and December, along with trips to in-state rivals UAB and South Alabama. The season begins Wednesday, Nov. 6, at home against Wofford.

Reserved season tickets are available in sections 101-104 for $60 apiece. General admission season tickets are $50 each, or fans can buy four or more for $25 apiece.

The Tigers return three starters and eight letter-winners from the 2018-19 team that went 22-10 overall, 9-7 in SEC play, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last four seasons.
