Lee County Humane Society Receives $1,000 Spay/Neuter Grant from BISSELL Pet Foundation to Reduce the Homeless Pet Population
AUBURN, AL. December, 30, 2019 — Lee County Humane Society is proud to announce it has been awarded a $1,000 grant from BISSELL Pet Foundation for spay and neuter procedures. LCHS hopes to address overcrowding in shelters and rescues by preventing unwanted litters of cats and dogs.
"Through no fault of their own, wonderful pets end up in the shelter, said Cathy Bissell, Founder of BISSELL Pet Foundation. It's a heartbreaking reality that BPF works to prevent through funding for spay and neuter. We are committed to helping our partners save lives."
This Spay/Neuter grant will provide financial support to residents of Lee County through the LCHS low cost spay-neuter programs. With a mission to find every pet a home, BPF focuses their efforts on adoption, spay/neuter, microchipping and emergency support.
