Auburn Chamber on the new Safer at Home Order

As you all have most likely heard the news this morning from Gov. Kay Ivey, as of 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, Alabama will begin the process of re-opening the economy with the newSafer at Home order, with the understanding that the COVID-19 pandemic is not over. Since Alabama has not met all standards for the first phase declaration from President Trump, the Auburn Chamber will continue the path of assisting, advocating, connecting and informing our membership with daily business updates until all businesses are allowed to re-open.

We believe all Auburn Chamber member businesses are essential, and we understand that we must follow the plan and guidelines from our governor. Whether a business has been given the right to re-open or not from the governor’s new order, providing support to all business members will be paramount to our organization.

As our mission states, the Auburn Chamber will provide resources and leadership to create a thriving business environment. While individuals may not be able to gather in large groups for the foreseeable future, the chamber is committed to bringing you the programming and events you have come to expect.

Through technology, we will be able to still offer networking and informative gatherings. While it will not be the same, we hope you will continue to engage in programs such as Leads to Business, Tuesday Talk, Membership Forums, Business Boot Camp, Women in Business small group events, Auburn Young Professionals and more. Some of these programs may look a little different than what we are accustomed to, but we are excited to be able to provide you these opportunities to connect.

All of our chamber members are important to us, and we care deeply about the success of your business. If you have any questions about your membership, please reach out to us.

We are also thankful to our members who have made financial commitments to the Auburn Chamber outside of their annual membership dues. During this time, we will be reaching out to all committed sponsors about upcoming events and programs.

The Auburn Chamber continues to ask everyone to comply with the governor's orders to ensure a safe return to our state's economy. It is essential to use good hygiene and take personal prevention measures while at work and at home.

We value your membership and are here to serve you. Please feel free to reach out to me directly atlolly@auburnchamber.com or my cell (334) 332-2115.
