PRESS RELEASE
OPELIKA, Ala. – Opelika Mayor Gary Fuller has amended Executive Order 01-20 which limits the number of customers in retail and grocery stores within the Opelika city limits.
The following guidelines are effective May 19, 2020 at 7 a.m.:
Social distancing:
1.Increase capacity to 50 percent of stated fire capacity in the store at a time. Fifty percent capacity limit does not apply to employees. Stores are required to count the number of customers entering and exiting the store and to enforce this as the emergency maximum occupancy.
The order remains in effect until such time it is rescinded by Mayoral Order.
