On May 31st at approximately 3:50 AM, officers of the Valley Police Department responded to a residence in the 6500 block of 24th Avenue in reference to two subjects being shot at that location.
Upon arrival, officers found 37 year-old Dennistris Campbell and 23 year-old Christopher Alexander Hart, both of Gordon, AL., with apparent gunshot wounds to their lower extremities. They were transported to EAMC-Lanier hospital by EAFD EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. Neither Campbell nor Hart could identify the person that had shot them.
Officers interviewed several people on scene who were gathered at the residence for a birthday party. None of the people interviewed stated that they observed the shooting nor could they name the suspect but did describe him as a black male from the Montgomery area and that he was driving a “box style” green Chevy Tahoe.
Detectives from the Valley Criminal Investigative Division were called to the scene and took over the investigation.
