Sunday, February 5th the Opelika Fire Department received a call about a fire at Papa Joe's BBQ in Opelika. 2nd Avenue was shut down for roughly 2 hours while the fire was extinguished.
The majority of the damage was done to the roof of the building. An investigation into the fire is still going on. As of right now, it's our understanding that Papa Joe's will stay at the same location but will be closed for repairs.
