Here's just how quickly a fire can spread

Last year in East Alabama and much of the South East there were wildfires everywhere. Thankfully we've had a lot more rain this year so hopefully the wildfires stay away.

This is an example of just how quickly a little fire (whether it be a grill or campsite) can spread and burn down everything before you really have a chance to do anything about it.

Now think about a how quickly a cigarette butt can cause major damage just by being flicked out of a car window or how an unextinguished camp fire could spread through a forest. There's a reason they use the term "spreads like wildfire" so just remember what ol' Smokey the Bear always says!
