LCHS Participates in National Campaign #StayHomeAndFoster

Auburn, Alabama (March 25th, 2020) -- Clear the Shelters and participating rescues like Lee County Humane Society (LCHS) are partnering with GreaterGood.org for #StayHomeAndFoster, a national campaign created by GreaterGood.org to provide a solution to the countless homeless pets at risk of euthanasia due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fostering a pet is easy and StayHomeAndFoster.org makes it easier than ever by connecting potential pet foster parents with animal shelters across the U.S. that are able to provide a “social distancing compliant” pet pick-up. In some cases, pet drop off or drive through options are available. Please visit www.StayHomeAndFoster.org for more information about the campaign. Use the hashtag #StayHomeAnd Foster to share your COVID-19 foster experience. Don’t forget to tag the animal rescue you are fostering for, as well!

LCHS will be closed to the public for adoptions from March 30-April 1st in order for staff to deep clean the shelter before opening back up for adoption appointments. There are currently 100 animals in the shelter that need foster homes. All animals may be viewed by visiting www.leecountyhumane.org. While the shelter will be closed for adoptions, LCHS will continue to accept stray drop offs and fosters by appointment only.

If you are willing and able to foster from Lee CountyHumane Society, please email foster2@leecountyhumane.org or apply online at www.leecountyhumane/foster.

We need the help and support of our community now more than ever. Lee County Humane Society - 1140 Ware Drive, Auburn, AL 36832 - 334-821-3222
