On Wednesday, November 22, 2017, Auburn Police arrested Terry Dewayne France, age 51 from Auburn on warrants charging him with Burglary 3rd Degree and Theft of Property 4th Degree.
The arrest stems from an investigation into a burglary that occurred at a residence in the 80 Block of Lee Road 679 on August 24, 2017. According to the victim, they returned to their residence and discovered that someone had unlawfully entered it and stolen a watch, US Currency, and electronics.
Further investigation by Auburn Police resulted in France being developed as a suspect. France, who had previously performed lawn care services at the residence, was captured on video surveillance and identified as the individual responsible for burglarizing the residence. Detectives obtained warrants for his arrest and he was located and taken into custody by Auburn Police.
He was transported to the Lee County Jail where he was being held on a $4,000 bond.
