Rocket in a Railroad Town documentary premier rescheduled
Due to forecasted freezing temperatures, the Rocket in a Railroad Town documentary premier has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 14th at Municipal Park. The premier will begin at 5 p.m. and last 45 minutes. Opelika Parks and Recreation will be giving free train rides from 3:00-4:45 p.m.
“The train rides and documentary will be more enjoyable in warmer temperatures,” said Matt Battles, Municipal Area Supervisor. “We hope by moving the event, more people will be able to view this great, historical film.”
Rocket in a Railroad Town highlights the history of the Rocky Brook Rocket and the 2016 restoration project.
