It's been a historic season for Auburn basketball and they look to keep the momentum rolling as they head into the SEC Tournament in St. Louis as the #1 seed. The Tigers are 25-6 (13-5 SEC) and currently sit at #16 despite rising as high as #8 in the nation.
Auburn is down to 8 players on scholarship on what was considered to be an already undersized Tiger team. A chip on the shoulder though has worked well for the Tigers after being projected to finish 4-14 in conference. Instead Auburn has used a tenacious defense and high octane offense to wear opponents down over the course of 40 minutes.
All-SEC selections came out and Auburn was yet again shown little respect as no players made First Team All-SEC despite being the top team in the conference. Point guard Jared Harper and shooting guard Bryce Brown both made the Second team. The Tigers now turn their attention to the SEC Tournament and later on the NCAA Tournament.
