Pull out your Easter basket and bring your tennis shoes because it’s time for an egg hunt with a fitness twist – the Active Auburn Eggcercise Egg Hunt! Join Active Auburn on Saturday, March 24 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Sam Harris Park for this fun, new way to hunt for Easter eggs!
There will be two hunting times, with egg hunters ages 10 and Under searching for eggs beginning at 2 p.m. and ages 11 and Older searching at 3 p.m. All ages – including adults! – are welcome because the egg hunt has a big twist!
Each egg contains exercises (yes, exercises) for our searchers to get a great workout after the egg hunt. Egg collectors must complete their workout in order to receive their prizes. There will be two age group sections per hour. In the first hour, we will divide into 6 and Under and 7 – 10 and in the second hour we will divide into 11 – 15 and 16+.
All exercises will be led by local trainers and Active Auburn is excited to partner with True40, High 5 Fitness and Max Fitness for this event. Each gym has up to 4 different exercises spread throughout the hunting grounds and egg collectors will be able to enjoy a variety of styles of exercise from their egg collection. Each gym will be handing out different prizes to those completing their workouts and there will be one “golden” egg hidden in each hunting ground.
Active Auburn is a health and wellness campaign presented by Auburn Parks and Recreation and sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, True40 Studio, Kinnucan’s Specialty Outfitters and the City of Auburn.
