Auburn Woman Arrested for Burglary

June 19th -- Auburn police arrested 23-year-old Ambriah Sanquanetta Hunter from Auburn, AL for burglary (3rd degree) and theft of property (3rd degree).

This arrest is from an incident from December 31st, 2017 at a residence in the 500 block of Thach Avenue. It was reported by the victim that someone entered their home while they were away and stole electronics valued over $900.

Evidence was found, collected, and given to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for further review. DNA analysis linked Hunter to the crime, and warrants were issued for her arrest, charging her for burglary 3rd degree and theft of property 3rd degree. With help from the Opelika Police Department, she was taken into custody.

She is now being held on a $4,500 bond at the Lee County Jail. The case remains under investigation by the Auburn Police Division and the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences. Additional arrests are foreseeable.
