Saturday (February 15th) Toomer's Oaks will be replaced. The tress were set on fire after the LSU game on September 24th. Initially, only one tree was clearly in danger of dying off ( The tree on Magnolia). After having time to access the situation, the decision was made to replace both trees. Officials decided that the tree (on the College Street side) was not growing like it needed to be, and thus they decided to replace it.
