Opelika, Ala. – Opelika Power Services has had another report of a scam, different to the one we notified customers of on Monday. Someone reported that when you log on to view bill through the OPS website, a pop-up appeared that looked very legitimate (with OPS logos) thanking the customer for being an OPSOne Customer, and to better help our customer service, asked him to complete a survey and win a cash prize of $75.00.
In addition, it asked the customer for a credit card number. This is a scam.
We advise customers to not give out any personal information to anyone. Call the OPS office with questions at 334-705-5170.
