Today is the Special Election to fill the US Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions after he was appointed to President Donald Trump's staff. There are 8 Republicans on the ballot as well as 7 Democrats. If there isn't a candidate who gets 50% of their parties' vote, there will be a run off election on September 26th. The General Election is set for December 12th.
