Auburn Police searching for robbery suspect

The Auburn Police Division is currently investigating a robbery that  occurred Thursday afternoon, August 17, 2017 in the parking lot of a  business located in the 1600 block of Opelika Road.  The female victim  exited her vehicle and was approached by a black male who was in  possession of a hand gun and demanded money.  The suspect took her  purse, containing cash and a cell phone, and got into the passenger side  of a waiting pick-up truck and fled the area.   

 

Video  footage of the truck as well one of the suspects has been obtained.  The  suspect that approached the victim is described as a black male, mid to  late teens, slender build, average height and weight.  The driver of  the truck is also described as a black male.  The suspect vehicle  appears to be a two tone white (or) silver over a darker color  mid-2000’s model Chevrolet or GMC crew cab 1500 series pick-up truck.     

 

The Auburn Police Division is asking for the public’s  assistance in identifying the suspect(s) as well as providing any  information on the suspect’s vehicle.
