About Krewe De Tigris
Krewe de Tigris was born of myth and magic. For over 5,000 years, the tiger has represented power, passion and a fierce spirit.
Magnificent in a yellow-gold coat striped with black, the tiger paces the plains of Auburn with grace. In 1808, author and poet William Blake told the tale by saying, “Tiger, tiger, burning bright in the forests of the night. What immortal hand or eye dare frame thy fearful symmetry? How powerful our God must be to fashion such a creature”.
The sprit of our Krewe exists in the dreams of a people who share a love of place and a sense of history. These dreams vest in the mysteries of a land where children dig for buried treasure in the red clay, where friends are as family, where time is measured by church bells, where celebrations erupt on a street corner and trees are draped with wisps of white. To victory! To the tigers who prowl as Krewe de Tigris.
