This event is being hosted by the City of Auburn's Parks and Recreation Department and is sponsored by Evans Realty.
Children age 12 and under can enjoy a morning of fishing with their family at a cost of just $5. Payment can be made in the form of cash or check on the day of the event. Checks can be made out to COA. The first 175 kids will receive a free fishing rod and reel courtesy of Evans Reality, and the Auburn Parks and Recreation Department will supply the bait. Each child will be permitted to bring home five fish and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
There will be door prizes for a few lucky winners during the day, and awards given to the participant who catches the most fish overall as well as the biggest fish in their age category. Members of the Auburn University Bass Fishing Club will be present to assist participants.
