LCHS Pet of the Week: Nicolette

Our Pet of the Week this week is a little lady named Nicolette!

Nicolette is just about three months old and wants to use her spotlight as pet of the week to spread awareness about kittens in the shelter! She and her siblings arrived at Lee County Humane Society back in April, still nursing on their mother. They were probably only a few weeks old at that point! After spending some time in foster care with her siblings, she is now ready for her forever home. Her story is similar to many other kittens, though some may or may not come in with their mothers. During the summer months, LCHS sees an increased intake of kittens. Nicolette wants you to know that there are several ways you can help kittens like her! First, spay and neuter your pets - no unwanted litters means no overflowing kennels at your local shelter! Second, sign up to foster! A foster family saved Nicolette and her siblings' lives - just taking in a pet for a few weeks makes all the difference when it opens a kennel for another litter. It keeps shelters from having to make tough decisions due to overcrowding! Nicolette is passionate about changing the future of kitties in shelters everywhere! She's spunky and fun with her beautiful tortoiseshell coat, and we just know she's going to grow into such a wonderful kitty. Her adoption fee is $125 - go meet her soon!
