Start your Thanksgiving morning with a 3 or 1-mile run through the scenic Moore's Mill Club golf course! The race will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday, November 28.
All runners will begin at the pavilion. Those participating in the 3-mile race will "trot" through the back nine holes of the course; the 1-mile race will take place along holes 10 and 18. All ages are welcome and encouraged to participate.
Proceeds from the Auburn Turkey Trot will benefit the Food Bank of East Alabama. Their mission is "to alleviate hunger; to provide an efficient, coordinated system for collecting and distributing food; to reduce food waste, and to increase public awareness regarding hunger and food security issues in East Central Alabama."
The cost is $15 per runner plus an additional $3 registration fee. There will be a late registration beginning at 7 a.m. on race day; however, participants must pre-register in order to receive a race t-shirt. The deadline for t-shirt orders is November 17. Click here to register.
The race is non-competitive and open to strollers and leashed dogs. Participants are asked to please pick up after their pups.
