The Kreher Preserve & Nature Center welcomes the Alabama Audubon Society on their spring birding field trip! Join Audubon birding experts, including Greg Harber, as they introduce you to the birds of the KPNC and lead guided walks through the forest to spot and listen for permanent avian residents as well as those migrating through.
This is an excellent opportunity to get expert advice on what you can do in your own backyard to attract birds and create an excellent bird habitat!!
Meet at 1:30 PM at the amphitheater where Audubon experts will give a brief lecture on the birds and birding in the Southeast, before embarking on our journey through the forest.
Admission is free – donations are welcomed. Pre-registration is required before 3 PM, Wednesday, January 29th. Participants have the option of joining the entire field trip, which includes a morning tour of Opelika’s Wood Duck Heritage Preserve. To join this session, meet at the Wood Duck Heritage Preserve (3600 Waverly Pkwy., Opelika) at 8:45 AM. More details are available on Alabama Audubon’s field trip page.
