As the health crisis of COVID-19 continues to evolve hour-by-hour, the Auburn Chamber is staying in close contact with community stakeholders. The Auburn Chamber supports, and will continue to support, businesses who have decided to suspend their operations for the time being and those who have decided to remain open. We believe with the guidance of our state and local government, our community and state can protect those most vulnerable to the virus.
The Auburn Chamberencouragesthe business community to follow the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) recommendations concerning public gatherings, restaurants, retail venues and businesses.
- Retail business, including restaurants, should limit patronage at anytime to 50% of the normally allowable capacity. Restaurants should maintain a six-foot distance between tables.
- No mass gatherings of 50 persons or more, or gatherings of any size that cannot maintain a consistent six-foot distance between participants.
Businesses that are open should visit the ADPHwebsitefor more information and recommendations.
All Auburn Chamber events, including AYP events, have been postponed through Wednesday, April 1. Events postponed include: ribbon cuttings, Tuesday Talk, New Member Welcome, AYP Connect, Leads to Business, Women in Business Coffee & Conversation and the Membership Forum. All events will be reconsidered on April 1, and members will be provided with an events update by that date.
