Release From Mountain High Outfitters

Birmingham based Mountain High Outfitters has seen some positive feedback with a Buy One Give One pay it forward donation.

Christopher Groom was contemplating what he could do to give back to those on the front line during this pandemic. Other local businesses like restaurants have donated food, local brewer-ies have made hand sanitizer, and manufacturers are able to make masks and gloves. Being in retail, Groom has been thinking about the comfort of healthcare workers and first responders. Without proper shoes, long and stressful shifts can be even more draining. Because of this, Mountain High Outfitters started the program, Buy One Give One. If you buy a pair of four select brands Mountain High will give a pair of shoes to the healthcare worker or first responder deal-ing directly with COVID-19 in the workplace.

With all the positive feedback in Birmingham, Groom has decided to launch this in every market that he has stores. We are hoping to really make an impact, and create a more comfortable work day. Now through May 15th, any individual that buys a pair of shoes, MHO will give a pair to a first responder or healthcare worker of that customer’s choice. Here’s how it works :

1. Visit one of the 13 MHO locations from 11:00am-7:00pm, or shop online at www.moun-

• ON Footwear

• HOKA

• Birkenstock (excluding EVA)

• Salomon

2. When shopping online, use the code “GIVEONE” at checkout and we will contact you for the recipient’s info and contact for their e-gift card. When checking out in store, let the

MHO staff know the name and all the credentials of the recipient and we will then reach out to them

3. Let your giftee know of your purchase and they will receive an e-gift card to visit MHO and purchase a pair of shoes from the 4 brands mentioned at or below the initial purchaser’s price.

Head out to your local Mountain High Outfitters store, call the store Sunday-Saturday 11AM-6PM or shop online today. Purchase one of the four brands mentioned and use the code Give-One at checkout. Mountain High will reach out to the healthcare worker or first responder and let them know a pair of shoes is waiting for them.
